"Forum Student" is the term we use for free NOD members who take the standard courses (Bard/Ovate/Druid). Free members don't get a mentor assigned, and therefore post their assignments in a specific forum for this course instead. To make a clear distinction between students without mentor and students with mentor, we refer to students without mentor as "Forum Students".

Yes, we provide a certificate of completion, once you have successfully completed a course. This is currently only available for our standard courses (Bardic, Ovate, Druid Course).

To Forum Students, this certificate is available in digital form. Upgraded members can choose whether they want it digital or on paper. The paper version will then be sent to you by regular mail, and comes at no extra cost for upgraded members. It is not possible for Forum Students to obtain a paper version, unless they upgrade first.

The certificate is not sent to you by default, and is only created if you send in a request. In order to request a certificate, go to "Druid College", then to "College Services" and then to "College Certificate". Click on digital or printed certificate and fill out the request form. Please allow for 10 days to have the certificate sent to you. For printed certificates, you need to count extra time for shipping.

How do I let my mentor know that I finished a lesson? Open

If you have finished all the assignments within a lesson block, your mentor needs to grade them first before you have access to the next lesson block. The mentors of your course receive an automatic notification every time you have submitted an assignment, so by default it is not necessary to let them know. Please remember that mentors do this work voluntarily in their free time, so give them some time to read your assignment(s) and grade them. It may mean you have to wait a week before you can upload your assignments for the following lesson block. Sometimes it may take longer, if your mentor is on vacation or temporary leave.

If you notice that your assignments remain ungraded for a long time, such as two weeks or more, we recommend to contact your mentor. To do so, you can send him a private message through the messenger system on the main NOD website. If you added your mentor to your friends list, you can easily find him there. If not, you can find him by following these steps:

1. Go to "My Account", then to "My Profile" and then to "Find More People".

2. At the "Display Name" field, fill out the name of your mentor as it appears on the website and the college.

3. When you have found your mentor's account, click on it to open their profile. Then click "Send me a message".

4. Now you can write your private message to your mentor, and send it.

I just upgraded my account, how do I request a mentor for the course? Open

If you didn't enrol in a course yet, you can simply go to a course with mentor and follow the…

If you didn't enrol in a course yet, you can simply go to a course with mentor and follow the enrolment procedure. You can do this by going to "Druid College" and then "List of Courses". If you want to enrol in one of the standard courses (Bardic, Ovate, Druid Course), make sure you choose the category "Standard Courses with mentor (Upgraded Members)". Specialisation Courses are, unless noted otherwise, always by default with mentor guidance. When you have filled out the application form, you will receive an enrolment key by email. Upon filling out this enrolment key to access the course for the first time, a mentor will automatically be assigned to you.

If you had already enrolled in one of our standard courses (Bardic, Ovate, Druid Course) without mentor as a free member (Forum Student), you can still request a mentor once you have upgraded. To do so, you will need to re-enroll into the course in the category "Standard Courses with mentor (Upgraded Members)". You can do so by following these steps:

1. Go to "Druid College" and to "List of Courses".

2.Go to the category "Standard Courses with mentor (Upgraded Members)" and find the course you want to enrol into. Then click on "JOIN COURSE".

3. Fill out the application form.

4. You will receive an email that will contain further instructions, as well as your new enrolment key.

5. Fill out the enrolment key when you access the course for the first time. A mentor will then automatically be assigned to you.

If you had already posted some assignments in the course forum as a Forum Student, you will at this point need to upload them in the appropriate lesson blocks of the course, so that your mentor can grade them. We recommend to let your mentor know that you are resubmitting your assignments due to having upgraded your account.

If you want to enrol into a specialisation course with mentor, you simply need to go to "Druid College" and then to "List of Courses". Then you go to the category "Specialisation Courses" and click "JOIN COURSE" at the course of your choice, and follow the regular steps of enrolment. Specialisation Courses are not available for Forum Students (free members) or without mentor.

The online Druid college maintains all ongoing and previous coursework of our students in its system, for a period of at least 5 years. This means that, if you re-enroll in a course after a long absence, you can usually just continue the course where you left off before, as assignments and grades will still be accessible.

However, if your coursework predates August 2017, you will find that it is no longer available. In August 2017, we switched to a different software platform for our online Druid college, and it was not possible to migrate previous coursework over from the old system to the new.

If your coursework was done in the old college, you will have to start the course over. You are welcome to reupload your previous assignments, if you still have a copy of them, so they can be graded again by a mentor. We recommend to let your mentor know that these assignments were written before your prolonged absence.

As a student, you are at all times responsible to keep copies and backups of your own coursework.

You only need the enrolment key when you access the course for the first time. Once you have entered the key, you are enrolled and you no longer need it. However, it is possible that you get unenrolled due to an extended absence (usually 1 year or longer), in which case you need to re-enter the enrolment key to get access to your course again.

To obtain your enrolment key again, you need to fill out the same application form for the course as you did when first enrolling. In the application form, you should specify that you have lost your enrolment key. The enrolment key will then be sent in an email to you.

I was absent for awhile and I no longer have access to my course. What should I do? Open

Students are automatically unenrolled from a course if they have been inactive for an extended period of time (in most…

Students are automatically unenrolled from a course if they have been inactive for an extended period of time (in most cases, this is 1 year). This is to avoid students, who decided not to continue the course, from remaining enrolled in the course. However, we do understand that some students may be inactive due to unforseen circumstances, such as e.g. familial or health problems. For that reason, it is in most cases allowed to continue your course after a prolongued absence.

If you find yourself unenrolled from a course after a long absence, you will be asked for the course enrolment key again. Just fill out the enrolment key you originally received by e-mail when joining the course.

If you no longer have the e-mail with the enrolment key, you can request it again by signing up for the course again. This means that you need to go to "Druid College", then to "List of Courses", select the relevant course and click "JOIN COURSE" or "REQUEST ENROLMENT KEY". Then fill out the application form, as you did when joining the course for the first time, but now write (in one of the comment text areas) that you are re-enrolling due to lost enrolment key. The enrolment key will then be e-mailed to you.

Once you have entered the enrolment key and you have regained access to the course, you will see that the course work you had already completed is still available there. So you can continue your course where you left off.

The online Druid college uses separate software from the NOD main site, but it is linked so that you are automatically logged in at the college when you have logged in at the main site first. In some cases, you may find you are not logged in at the college, or unable to login there. If this is the case with you, it may be because of one of the following reasons:

1. You were idle too long, and you were automatically logged out again after some time. In that case, you can simply log in again.

2. You are unable to log in to the college because of an account conflict. This may happen with some older accounts which still have a space or special characters in their username. Due to software conflicts, spaces and special characters in usernames are no longer allowed. If this is the case with you, please contact our membership administration to have this resolved. It is not possible to change your own username, but we can change it for you.

If none of these cases offer a solution for you, and you still experience problems logging in, please contact us.
