Follow these steps:

1. Go to your course, then to the lesson for which you want to upload an assignment.

2. Inside the lesson page, click on "add submission".

3. On the next page, you can either add the text of your assignment online, or upload a text document containing your assignment.

4. Click "save changes" and you're done.
