14 May 2026

The issues we reported earlier in regards to access the college, have been resolved. Members should be able to access the college normally again.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Due to the earlier issue, we had to set back a backup from yesterday. This means that any changes students or mentors may have made on May 13 or May 14, may possible not be there anymore and need to be done again (such as uploading assignments or grading assignments). We apologize for the inconvenience.

Further updates on the College will be planned for a later date.

There are currently issues with automatically logging in to the college environment of the website. We are aware of this and looking into it. We hope to have it resolved soon.

NOD shortfilm premiering on January 10, 2026

Details
21 December 2025

First of all, we would like to wish everyone a happy and blessed Winter Solstice! We hope you will have joyful holidays as yet another year is coming to an end!

We already look a little bit ahead, more specifically to January 10, 2026.

2025 has been a productive year, with the introduction of the digital membership card, additional payment options for the membership, the switch to the Plant A Tree donations, the publication of handfasting registry books, and the new NOD Vernemeton in Spain.

We also launched our new Youtube channel, and exactly that's where you will soon find the result of yet another project of 2025.

On January 10, 2026 we will be premiering our new shortfilm "The Legend of the New Order of Druids" on Youtube. The video will be a 15-minute long audiovisual retelling of an old story by Jean-Claude Pretre, and written in expanded form by David Dom in 2006 for the NOD Introduction Booklet for Upgraded Members.

In case you wonder what the story will be about, here's a teaser-free introduction:

At the eve of the Roman invasion of Gaul, the Druids gather in a great Council to determine what should be done to avert their impending doom. They plead to the Gods for aid, but no help would come. So the Druids must determine for themselves what they should do to make sure the Sacred Knowledge will not get lost. What decision will they make in the end?

You will find the video here:

Our upgraded membership goes digital!

Details
01 December 2025

We are pleased to announce that our Upgraded Membeship has now become fully digital!

What does this mean?

If you upgrade your account on our website, you will now be able to access your membership card digitally, instead of having it sent to you by regular mail.

You can find your digital membership card by going to My Account > My Profile. Then scroll down until you see the tabs on your profile and click on the "Membership Card" tab.

In this tab, the membership card will be displayed and will reflect your currently active memberships. You will also find a link there to download the membership card in PDF-format. The latter can be useful if your upgraded membership gives you discounts to activities of a local NOD Nemeton near you (such as the Nervii Nemeton mothergrove in Belgium). You can then print out your membership card or save it on your phone to display it on your screen.

Keep in mind that the membership card will only be displayed to upgraded members, not to free members.

The NOD Introduction Booklet, which we used to send to members who upgraded for the first time, is now available (in updated form) as a PDF download by going to My Account > My Upgraded Membership Downloads.

Members who are already upgraded at this time and still received a physical membership card and booklet, will be able to access all this on the website as well!

The introduction of the digital membership card and introduction booklet is a further step into digitalizing the NOD membership, and to make it more environmentally-friendly by requiring far less paper usage.

If, for some reason, you still wish to receive a physical membership card sent to you by mail upon your next upgrade, you can set "Upgraded Membership Card" to "yes" in your account settings under the tab "Private". The availability of a physical membership card in the more distant future is yet to be discussed by the NOD General Assembly.

If you're not an upgraded member yet, please consider supporting the New Order of Druids, while taking advantage of the extra services it comes with. You can read all about our upgraded membership at this link:

https://www.druidcircle.org/nod/index.php/en/membership-options

Our upgraded membership is green! For each paid upgraded membership per year, one tree will be planted through the Plant A Tree initiative.

NOD launches new Youtube channel

Details
12 November 2025

We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Youtube-channel of the New Order of Druids.

This new channel contains all the content that could already be found on our previous channels (NODTV and NODCast, which hadn't been updated anymore) as well as new video material. We have divided our video material in playlist categories such as NODCast (the NOD Podcast), the old NODTV episodes, general videos (which also include photo collages of our events and activities), and more!

In addition, we have also set up a few Celtic music playlists called "NOD Celtic Music Channel", which contains many hours of all kinds of Celtic-related music for you to enjoy while surfing our website or elsewhere on the internet.

We invite you to subscribe to our Youtube channel at this link:
https://www.youtube.com/@neworderofdruids

You can also follow the New Order of Druids on other social media:

⇒ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neworderofdruids/
⇒ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/neworderdruid/

Our social media channels are, like many of our services, provided to you completely for free. We would, however, like to take this opportunity to point out that running our organisation does cost money, such as the required administration, the server hosting and software. The cost of all this increases every year. To pay for these expenses, we rely heavily on incoming funds from upgraded memberships. That is why we would like to ask you to consider upgrading your membership, if you can.

As an upgraded member, you not only support the New Order of Druids, but you also benefit from extra services such as getting a mentor assigned to you for the standard courses, access to the specialisation courses, course certificates, access to our full online Celtic library, and more!

An upgraded membership costs merely € 29.95 per year, a price we have thus far maintained since its introduction in 2006.

You can read more about our upgraded membership services here:
https://www.druidcircle.org/nod/index.php/en/membership-options

Our upgraded membership is green! For each paid upgraded membership per year, one tree will be planted through the Plant A Tree initiative.

Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you on our website and/or our various social media channels!

17 October 2025

vernemetonofcernunnos logoWe are happy to announce that, as of today, the New Order of Druids has expanded its local activities with a new vernemeton (local grove) in Spain.

We welcome the Vernemeton of Cernunnos, based in Jerez de la Frontera, to our international community! If you live in Spain or are interested to find out more about the Vernemeton of Cernunnos, make sure to follow their Instagram for updates!

Website & Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vernemetoncernunos/

T
he Vernemeton of Cernunnos is a r
itual sanctuary and druidic community rooted in the magic of the forest.

The Vernemeton of Cernunnos is a ceremonial and creative circle dedicated to the living worship of the forest god, Cernunnos, and to druidic practice as a means of connection, healing, and community. Born in southern Iberia, this sacred space brings together guardians and seekers of the ancient essence of the Druids, who share a vision: to restore the profound bond between humanity and nature through art, ceremony, and druidic magic.

NOD launches Register book for Handfastings

Details
10 October 2025

trees for allA Handfasting is a term for a Celtic wedding ceremony, in which the hands of the bridal pair are joined and tied together or "fasted" with a rope around it. Celtic wedding rituals, and pagan weddings in general, are on the rise, but up to now there had not been a register book in which Druids or other priest(esse)s could keep a record of the wedding ceremonies they performed. Such books do exist, but are almost always tailored specifically for Christian parishes and churches.

With the launch of the "Handfasting Register" book, it is now also possible to keep a registry in a book specifically designed for recording pagan wedding rituals. The register allows to fill out an index number, date, the names of the newlyweds, the place of the marriage, the names of the witnesses, remarks, the name of the Druid(s) or other priests or priestesses who performed the ceremony, and the signature of the ceremony leader. Each book provides space for up to 350 marriages, supplemented with an index. The book also contains an introductory text on Celtic and pagan wedding ceremonies, and how to best keep a registry of them.

The register book comes in A4-size and contains high-quality paper with hardcover case wrap.

This book is provided to you by the New Order of Druids, but is not exclusively intended to be used for handfastings performed by us. The book can be used by any Druid or other pagan priest/ess who feels they can benefit from keeping a registry of their own.

The book is available in English and in Dutch from our NOD Book Store at the following links:

English version: https://www.lulu.com/shop/new-order-of-druids/handfasting-register/hardcover/product-kv5revv.html

Dutch version: https://www.lulu.com/shop/new-order-of-druids/register-der-handfastings/hardcover/product-2mwevk4.html

The Dutch version can also be purchased at our local webshop at this link: https://druidenwinkel.be/register-der-handfastings-invulboek/

Below you can find a few pictures of the inside of the book for the Dutch version. The English version is identical, but of course entirely in English instead.

We hope this register book will be beneficial to the Druid and the pagan community as a whole.

Plant a Tree with NOD

Details
05 September 2025

trees for allIn 2010, the New Order of Druids introduced the NOD Nature Donation Funds. For each paid upgraded membership, we would donate € 5 to the Nature Conservancy.

Due to circumstances, it has been decided that as of this year we will no longer endorse the Nature Conservancy. Instead, the donations for the upgraded memberships will go to the planting of trees through the organisation Trees For All, which is located in the Netherlands and has forestation projects in various parts of the world. This means that, for each paid upgraded membership, one tree will be planted. This will already apply for all upgraded membership starting January 1, 2025.

Trees For All is a Public Benefit Organisation based in the Netherlands (Europe) with a CBFcertificate. For more than 25 years, Trees For All has been devoted to creating more forests in the world, not only in Europe but also in many other parts of the world. It is their intention to contribute in this way to a better climate, more biodiversity and healthier living conditions.

When you pay for an upgraded membership, you don't need to do anything for this donation to plant a tree - we will do it automatically for you. The donation to plant the trees at Trees For All will be made once a year, usually in January, where we add all the amounts based on the upgraded memberships together. When we make our yearly payment, we will choose one of the various projects in the world Trees For All is working on, and we will alternate between the various projects each year to contribute to all of them in turn. After having made the donation to Trees For All, we will receive a digital certificate in name of New Order of Druids, to certifiy that the donation has been made and the amount of trees have been planted.

New payment options available for membership upgrade

Details
05 January 2025

We are pleased to announce that, as of today, we are providing many new payment options for the payment of upgraded memberships.

Today we have implemented the Stripe platform, which provides a large number of common and international payment options. These payment options are:

Most common credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and more), Payments Canada, Affirm, BECS Direct Debit, BACS Direct Debit, Bancontact (Belgium), Blik, Boleto, EPS, FPX, GrabPay, iDeal (Netherlands), Klarna, Konbini, Link, OXXO, Przelewy24, Pix, PayNow, PromptPay and ACH Direct Debit.

In addition to these new payment options, it is of course also still possible to use Paypal for making payments. You can use your Paypal account, or if you don't have an account, you can still pay with most common credit cards there also.

If none of the payment options above are possible for you, then the option of Offline Payment naturally remains available too, although this will not immediately activate your upgrade and may take some time as it needs to be processed manually.
