Sometimes, it may be that upon registering a new account, you will receive the following error message:

Error
Sorry, your registration failed because you have been flagged as a spammer by a match of your details in our spambot database. If you are a genuine visitor, then we apologise. Please contact us to get the issue resolved.

This error message is generated by an antispam system installed on our website to make sure our members are kept safe from fake accounts trying to spam or scam people.

However, sometimes the system might give a false positive, and reject an account registration of someone who is not an actual spammer. There can be various reasons why a false positive occurs:

1. Your email address was wrongly added to the spambot database at https://www.stopforumspam.com/

2. The IP address you are currently using was (wrongly) added to the above spambot database. This can sometimes happen if you are using a dynamic IP address (your internet provider changes your IP address at a certain interval)

3. Our system was unable to connect to the spambot database (e.g.  the spambot database happens to be offline at that moment) and therefore considers an account registration as a spammer either way.

Of course, if you are a genuine person and not a spammer, you don't have to worry about this. But it is, of course, frustrating when you're wanting to create an account with us and you aren't able to. We provide a few possible solutions:

1. If possible, try using a different e-mail address (you can still change your email address later in your account settings). Make sure you are using an email address you have access to, as you will receive an email with a link required to confirm your account.

2. Wait some hours, or until the next day, and then try again.

3. If none of this works, please contact us to let us know, so we can help with finding a solution for you.
