The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is an American non-profit organisation that operates worldwide to preserve nature and life. It is their mission to conserve the land and waters on which all life depends, and to aim for a world where the diversity of life thrives, and people act to conserve nature for its own sake. TNC works with partners including indigenous communities, businesses, governments, multilateral institutions, and other non-profits. The organisation is active in all 50 American states, and in more than 70 other countries on nearly all continents.
As a nature-based spirituality organisation, the New Order of Druids tries to make a contribution to the preservation and protection of the environment. In 2010, the NOD Council has opted to choose The Nature Conservancy as charity that we wish to endorse.
How do we work on this?
For each upgraded membership we receive on our website http://www.druidcircle.org, we donate € 5 to the Nature Conservancy. For a 1 year upgrade, we donate € 5 ($7 USD), and for a 2 year upgrade we donate € 10 ($13.5 USD). At the end of each year, we will add the total amount to this donation fund, and we add a bit extra ourselves to round it up in $ USD.
It is also possible to make a donation if you don't want to upgrade your account on our website, or are not a member of the New Order of Druids. You can simply do this, by clicking the "Make a Donation" button on the right!
But above all... don't do it for us, don't do it for The Nature Conservancy, but do it for the Earth of which we are all a part...
